Project Overview:

Loyal 9 Development was selected to construct new sitework elements for the RTS Hylan Drive Connection Hub—also known as “The Loop”—in Henrietta, NY. This project improves transit access and pedestrian flow at one of the region’s busiest retail corridors by supporting upgraded infrastructure for regional bus service.

Key Features:

Demolition & Excavation:

• Existing site elements were removed and disposed of, including pavement sections and surface obstructions.

• Excavation and grading were completed to support formwork and achieve positive drainage across all concrete placements.

Concrete Pads & Circulation Paths:

• New concrete slabs were installed to serve as future shelter pads for RTS rider waiting areas.

• Connecting sidewalks and pathways were poured with a broom finish and control joints to guide foot traffic and maintain durability under heavy use.

• All flatwork was sloped and pitched to ADA standards, with widened turning radii and access zones as specified.

Transit Integration & Coordination:

• Work was completed with consideration for live transit activity and access to adjacent retail tenants.

• Coordination with project stakeholders ensured that shelter placements and slab elevations aligned with existing RTS service specifications.

Execution:

Loyal 9 Development delivered this work on time and to spec, supporting RTS’s broader transit infrastructure upgrades while improving safety, accessibility, and rider experience at a key connection point along the Hylan Drive corridor.
