Completion Date: 2025

Project Overview:

Loyal 9 Development completed the construction of two new public-use pavilions in the Town of Macedon, NY—one at Macedon Canal Park and the other at Bickford Park. Each structure was designed to enhance the town’s recreational offerings while aligning with the long-term vision for improved outdoor amenities, accessibility, and community use.

Macedon Canal Park Pavilion:

  • Located along the Erie Canal, this pavilion was constructed adjacent to recently upgraded ADA-compliant docks, a kayak launch, new restrooms, and historical trail signage.

  • Built with pressure-treated framing on a reinforced concrete slab, the open-air structure includes a standing seam metal roof and finished eaves for year-round durability.

  • Final scope included grading, pad prep, embedded anchor systems, and finished trim. Electrical conduit sleeves were roughed-in for future lighting and accessory service needs.

  • The pavilion now provides a shaded community space for events, rentals, and casual use by visitors enjoying the revitalized waterfront.

Bickford Park Pavilion:

  • Situated near the center of town, the Bickford Park pavilion was constructed on the site of a former gazebo and serves as a key anchor to the park’s central green space.

  • Featuring a stained cedar frame and standing seam metal roof, the 12’ x 12’ pavilion blends natural materials with durable finishes suitable for public park use.

  • The structure was installed on a compacted stone base with a cast-in-place concrete pad, and includes perimeter drainage to maintain surface integrity year-round.

  • Used frequently for picnics, parties, and as a shelter near playground and athletic fields, the pavilion expands the park’s usability across all seasons.

Execution:

Loyal 9 Development delivered both pavilions on schedule and in coordination with other municipal improvement efforts. Designed for longevity and low maintenance, these structures support Macedon’s growing network of public spaces while elevating the day-to-day experience of residents and visitors.
